Dr. V. Norene Christensen, PT, DSc, CLT, OCS, Owner

Background:

Born and raised in New Jersey, Norene came west for skiing and outdoor activities like climbing, mountaineering and mountain biking.  Since being out west she also began to enjoy fly fishing, hunting, sea kayaking and snowmobiling.  She enjoys fine wine, gardening and her family.

Continuing Education:

Norene has completed numerous hours of continuing education since 1987. Her education has encompassed orthopedics, sports medicine, manual therapy, headaches, biomechanics and spinal rehabilitation. She has also focused on pelvic health (incontinence, pelvic pain), women’s health (osteoporosis and prenatal/postpartum), post operative breast cancer and lymphedema rehabilitation.

Mark Schultheis, PT, MS, CSCS, Clinical Director
Jackson Office

Background:

Mark was born, raised, and educated in Wisconsin over the course of 26 years and moved to Jackson, Wyoming in 1995 for his first Physical Therapy job at St. John’s Hospital.  He worked In Patient, Living Center, Home Health, and Out Patient during his time at St. Johns.  After a two-year stint at St. Johns he then joined Norene at her quickly expanding practice at Four Pines Physical Therapy. During this time he co-authored a mountain biking guide to the Jackson Hole area entitled “The Book”. He returned to Wisconsin in 2000 to become the director/owner of Waukesha Physical Therapy Clinics, his parents PT practice of 33 years.  For eleven years he managed three out-patient clinics and specialized in orthopedic/sports medicine, surgical and nonsurgical orthopedic care, spine care, manual therapy, industrial rehabilitation, ergonomic training, vertigo/dizziness and management of arthritic and degenerative conditions.
Mark and his family returned to Jackson in 2012 after missing their friends, good skiing, all day bike rides, and the ability to get lost in the mountains and wide-open spaces of Wyoming.  He is married to Audra and they have an 8-year-old son Owen.  They are happy to call Jackson home again.

Mark has extensive training in the treatment of surgical and non-surgical orthopedics, sports medicine, spine care, manual therapy and vestibular rehabilitation for the dizzy patient. He also has training for industrial rehabilitation and ergonomic evaluation and training.

Dr.Kaya Mills, PT, DPT, CSCSClinical Director

Background:

Kaya was raised in Seattle, Washington and grew up loving sports and anything outdoors. She completed her undergraduate work at Gonzaga University and graduate school at Eastern Washington University both in Spokane, Washington. She spent her summers working as a whitewater raft guide first in Missoula, MT then in Jackson, WY. She met her husband working on the river and they were married in Paradise Valley, Montana. They share a mutual love for chocolate labs, rivers, mountains, backcountry skiing, and good cooking. Kaya is an avid runner and competes in road and trail runs from 5ks to marathons.  She is an assistant coach for the Jackson Hole High School cross country team.

Continuing Education:

Kaya enjoys working with athletes of all kinds. She has taken continuing education for rehabbing runners, weightlifting, powerlifting, and CrossFit athletes. She also holds a certification for working with female athletes postpartum and enjoys helping new mamas meet their fitness goals. Kaya is certified in trigger point dry needling for most musculoskeletal conditions and uses this technique to address hard to treat aches and pains. She has also studied pain science for the treatment of chronic pain. Overall, she enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities and helping them reach their goals however big or small.

Dr.Brianna Droessler-Aschliman, PT, DPT, CMTPT
Jackson Office

Background:

A Midwest girl at heart, Brianna joins the Four Pines team two years after treating patients in Wisconsin. Brianna specializes in pelvic health rehab (incontinence, pelvic pain and more), prenatal/postpartum, chronic pain and orthopedic/spinal rehab. She fell in love with Jackson during one of her final internships with Mark and Norene and has convinced her husband that a move out west was necessary. Health and wellness, and community involvement are major aspects of Brianna’s life and while in WI, she and Nate participated in an amazing organization called My Team Triumph. This organization allows disabled athletes to participate in races in which they are pushed by able-bodied athletes (perfect combination of her favorite things!) and they hope to start a chapter in Jackson. She is looking forward to taking in the scenery, biking, hiking, running the trails, and enjoying everything Out West has to offer. Don’t be surprised if she’s donning her Badger or Packer gear during the football season.

Continuing Education:

Brianna specializes in pelvic health (incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic pain and more) for men and women and has taken a number of courses to further her education and skillset. She is advancing her knowledge base for post oncology rehab. She utilizes manual medicine, muscle energy and myofascial techniques when treating patients. She is certified through Myopain Seminars and Postnatal Fitness Specialist Academy. Overall Brianna is a life long learner willing to expand her knowledge base so that she can provide the best available therapies for effective and efficient care.

 

Dr.Anna Yanchek, PT, DPT

Background:

Anna was born and raised in Cheyenne, WY where she grew up hiking and adventuring. Anna was a member of her high school track and cross country teams, and as Anna’s passion for running grew she became interested in helping others heal during injury and pain. Anna completed her Bachelor’s degree at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota. During her time in Spearfish, she competed in cross country and track and field, and found a new love for trail running. Anna completed her doctorate of physical therapy at University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. While in Grand Forks, Anna traded trails for roads and trained for her first marathon race with the help of her black lab, Sophie. Anna came to Jackson Hole and Four Pines for her last clinical. She trained with Mark and Brianna and loved her experience. Anna is looking forward to exploring all the outdoor adventures Jackson Hole has to offer. She is especially excited to learn how to ski and mountain bike.

Anna has completed continuing education focusing on low back pain and spinal manipulation. She is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and enjoys working with patients of all ages. She plans to continue her education in low back pain management, vestibular rehabilitation and a variety of orthopedic conditions.

Dr. Mouna Goyette, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT
Jackson Office and Legacy Lodge at Jackson Hole

Background:

Mouna was born and raised in New England. Her professional career began in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where her love of a mountain lifestyle blossomed. After recreating in the Tetons in winter and summer, she and her husband set their eyes on Jackson. Mouna has spent most of her career advancing her orthopedic skills, completing an orthopedic fellowship program at Boston University in 2017. She is also grateful to have gained skills across multiple physical therapy settings while working in a remote 25 bed hospital. In 2011, she created a Pro-Bono project, “PT for SMA.” She traveled to Baku, Azerbaijan to deliver therapy services to three young adults with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. She enjoys traveling, family time, yoga and Pilates. Her athletic interests include mountain biking, hiking, trail running, and split boarding.

Mouna’s continuing education over the years has focus in orthopedics, including manual therapy, spine care, sports rehab, and therapeutic yoga. She has also furthered her education in chronic pain management. She enjoys working with patients of all ages, from adolescents to the elderly.

Dr. Morgan Kinnes, PT, DPT
Alpine Office

Background:

Morgan is a Colorado native where she developed a love for everything outdoors. Summers were spent camping, hiking and fishing with her family and winter spent skiing and fishing. Travelling each summer with her grandparents sparked a love for travelling. She left for Big Sky country where she received her Bachelor’s Degree from Montana State University in beautiful Bozeman, Montana. From there she returned home to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Colorado-Denver. Her first job brought her right in the middle to Worland, Wyoming where she developed a love for working in rural areas. A love of the outdoors and all that the Jackson area has to offer brought her to Four Pines Physical Therapy where she is excited to continue her career! She enjoys camping, fishing, hiking, crafting, exploring and spending time with her family, friends and fur children Reagan, Paisley, Audrey Hepburn and Holly.

Continuing Education:

Morgan’s continuing education includes a broad range of orthopedic techniques including extensive manual therapy training using a variety of approaches including mobilization, manipulation, muscle energy techniques and different myofascial release techniques. She also specializes in pelvic health for clients with urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse in women and will continue her education to treat people suffering with pelvic pain, bowel dysfunction and men with pelvic floor dysfunction. Morgan enjoys learning new and innovative techniques to help her patients reach their goals.
