Dr. V. Norene Christensen, PT, DSc, CLT, OCS, Owner

Background:

Born and raised in New Jersey, Norene came west for skiing and outdoor activities like climbing, mountaineering and mountain biking.  Since being out west she also began to enjoy fly fishing, hunting, sea kayaking and snowmobiling.  She enjoys fine wine, gardening and her family.

Continuing Education:

Norene has completed numerous hours of continuing education since 1987. Her education has encompassed orthopedics, sports medicine, manual therapy, headaches, biomechanics and spinal rehabilitation. She has also focused on pelvic health (incontinence, pelvic pain), women’s health (osteoporosis and prenatal/postpartum), post operative breast cancer and lymphedema rehabilitation.

Mark Schultheis, PT, MS, CSCS, Clinical Director
1997-2000, 2012-Present

Background:

 Mark was born, raised, and educated in Wisconsin over the course of 26 years and moved to Jackson, Wyoming in 1995 for his first Physical Therapy job at St. John’s Hospital.  He worked In Patient, Living Center, Home Health, and Out Patient during his time at St. Johns.  After a two-year stint at St. Johns he then joined Norene at her quickly expanding practice at Four Pines Physical Therapy. During this time he co-authored a mountain biking guide to the Jackson Hole area entitled “The Book”. He returned to Wisconsin in 2000 to become the director/owner of Waukesha Physical Therapy Clinics, his parents PT practice of 33 years.  For eleven years he managed three out-patient clinics and specialized in orthopedic/sports medicine, surgical and nonsurgical orthopedic care, spine care, manual therapy, industrial rehabilitation, ergonomic training, vertigo/dizziness and management of arthritic and degenerative conditions.
Mark and his family returned to Jackson in 2012 after missing their friends, good skiing, all day bike rides, and the ability to get lost in the mountains and wide-open spaces of Wyoming.  He is married to Audra and they have an 8-year-old son Owen.  They are happy to call Jackson home again.

Mark has extensive training in the treatment of surgical and non-surgical orthopedics, sports medicine, spine care, manual therapy and vestibular rehabilitation for the dizzy patient. He also has training for industrial rehabilitation and ergonomic evaluation and training.

Jimbo Wood, PT, MSPT, Clinical Director – Alpine
2017-Present

Background:

Jimbo was born and raised in Anniston, Alabama. While in undergraduate school at the University of Georgia, Jimbo served as a student athletic trainer for the football and men’s basketball teams. In 1996, Jimbo served as the Head Student Athletic Trainer for the University of Georgia’s Sports Medicine Department. Upon graduation from UGA, Jimbo returned to Alabama to attend Physical Therapy school at eh University of Alabama at Birmingham. After finishing his professional schooling, Jimbo returned to Athens, Georgia, and opened Horizon Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 2005. While Jimbo and his wife, Beth, continue to own and operate Horizon Physical Therapy, their family’s love of the Tetons brought them westward in 2017.

Continuing Education:

Jimbo has done extensive continuing education in the areas of trigger point dry needling, Functional Movement Screens (FMS), sacroiliac joint dysfunctions, and TMJ/TMD jaw pain management. Additionally, Jimbo is lead instructor for HPTR Seminars, directing continuing education courses for fellow physical therapists in the areas of slow-motion video analysis of running gait, running shoe assessment and prescription, and running form fault corrections. Jimbo is an avid runner and competitor and you’ll most likely see him on the trails.

Dr. Rebekah Donley, PT, DPT, CPI
2011 - Present

Background:

Rebekah was born & raised in Sandpoint, Idaho where she enjoyed all the amenities of a small, mountain town including skiing, snowboarding & competitive soccer.  Upon graduation, she embarked on her education degrees in PA to be closer to relatives & explore the East Coast cities.  With her doctorate degree in hand, she then landed in El Dorado Hills, CA for her first PT job in a private outpatient clinic which included a Pilates Studio, Chiropractor, Massage therapist & a cycling team - gaining exposure to an interdisciplinary approach to wellness & acquiring her certification in Pilates Instruction.  Her experience in Rehabilitative Pilates landed her next job in Los Gatos, CA within a fitness center & tennis club.  However, she was soon swept away by a boy (now husband, James) to an ex-pat assignment in Bangalore, India which gave her the opportunity to run a private PT & Pilates business out of her home serving both the locals & foreigners with exceptional Western care.  While 'Incredible India' was a truly amazing experience, they dreamed for open space, cooler temps & extreme outdoor sports - which landed them in Jackson, WY in 2011!  Joining up with Norene at Four Pines PT has been an exciting time of professional growth & becoming deeply rooted in this small town community.  Most recently, Rebekah has embarked on a new title of ‘Motherhood' - welcoming a baby boy, Brooks David Donley, in Sept 2015.  She now juggles Strollercise classes with her true love of the outdoor sports: alpine & nordic skiing, snow biking. snowmobiling, hiking, mtn biking, cycling, & dirt biking!  Phew

Rebekah has extensive continuing education in a variety of manual therapies including: trigger point therapies, headache & TMJ/TMD management, nerve mobilization & spine rehabilitation.  She has also studied pain sciences, functional movement assessment & core activation/stabilization.  Her varied treatment background includes extensive rehab of surgical & non-surgical orthopedics as well as neuro rehabilitation.   Additionally, she is excited to expand her practice to include treatment of pregnancy pain & postpartum care.

Kaya Mills, PT, DPT
2016 - Present

Background:

Kaya was raised in Seattle, Washington and grew up loving sports and anything outdoors. She completed her undergraduate work at Gonzaga University and graduate school at Eastern Washington University both in Spokane Washington. She spent her summers working as a whitewater raft guide first in Missoula, MT then in Jackson, WY. She met her husband working on the river and they were married this summer. They share a mutual love for chocolate labs, rivers, mountains, backcountry skiing, and good cooking. She spent the last year completing internships in all the major practice settings including acute care, inpatient rehab, geriatrics, orthopedics and women’s health.

Continuing Education:

Kaya focused on the treatment of chronic pain as well women’s health in her final internship. She is eager to take more continuing education on these topics. Kaya completed ergonomics research particularly for the construction and military fields throughout both undergraduate and graduate school. Her research focused on strategies for the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders in the construction fields and development of a pack that optimized load carriage ergonomics for military personnel. She also completed research on optimal poling technique for professional cross country skate skiers.

Brianna Droessler-Aschliman, PT, DPT, CMTPT 

Background:

A Midwest girl at heart, Brianna joins the Four Pines team two years after treating patients in Wisconsin. Brianna specializes in pelvic health rehab (incontinence, pelvic pain and more), prenatal/postpartum, chronic pain and orthopedic/spinal rehab. She fell in love with Jackson during one of her final internships with Mark and Norene and has convinced her husband that a move out west was necessary. Health and wellness, and community involvement are major aspects of Brianna’s life and while in WI, she and Nate participated in an amazing organization called My Team Triumph. This organization allows disabled athletes to participate in races in which they are pushed by able-bodied athletes (perfect combination of her favorite things!) and they hope to start a chapter in Jackson. She is looking forward to taking in the scenery, biking, hiking, running the trails, and enjoying everything Out West has to offer. Don’t be surprised if she’s donning her Badger or Packer gear during the football season.

Continuing Education:

Brianna specializes in pelvic health (incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic pain and more) for men and women and has taken a number of courses to further her education and skillset. She is advancing her knowledge base for post oncology rehab. She utilizes manual medicine, muscle energy and myofascial techniques when treating patients. She is certified through Myopain Seminars and Postnatal Fitness Specialist Academy. Overall Brianna is a life long learner willing to expand her knowledge base so that she can provide the best available therapies for effective and efficient care.
