Dr. Kaya Tuchscherer

Kaya was raised in Seattle, Washington, and grew up loving sports and anything outdoors. She completed her undergraduate work at Gonzaga University and graduate school at Eastern Washington University both in Spokane, Washington. She spent her summers working as a whitewater raft guide first in Missoula, MT then in Jackson, WY. She met her husband working on the river and they were married in Paradise Valley, Montana. They share a mutual love for chocolate labs, rivers, mountains, backcountry skiing, and good cooking. Kaya is an avid runner and competes in road and trail runs from 5ks to marathons.

Kaya enjoys working with athletes of all kinds. She has taken continuing education for rehabbing runners, weightlifting, powerlifting, and CrossFit athletes. She also holds a certification for working with female athletes during pregnancy and postpartum and enjoys helping mamas meet their fitness goals. Kaya is certified in trigger point dry needling for most musculoskeletal conditions and uses this technique to address hard to treat aches and pains. She has also studied pain science for the treatment of chronic pain. Overall, she enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities and helping them reach their goals however big or small.
