Dr. Kaysha Bates

Kaysha Heck graduated from Regis University with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2017. Afterward, she completed a residency in Sports Physical Therapy at the University of Florida. She has been a board-certified Sports Clinical Specialist since 2019. She has experience working with athletes of different ages (elementary to collegiate level) and across several sports.

Kaysha is interested in working with gymnasts and has remained involved in the sport through coaching, researching, and providing educational workshops to athletes, coaches, parents, and medical providers. She is a board member for Gymnastics Medicine, a non-profit organization offering evidence-based outcomes and education around gymnastics injuries. She is a national speaker on topics involving injury prevention and gymnastics as well as Adjunct Faculty for South College Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Her clinical interests lie in the rehabilitation of the gymnastics athlete, with an emphasis on injury prevention and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Her research interests lie in reducing injury rates and workload management of the gymnast.
