Physical Therapy

What is a Pediatric Physical Therapist?

A Pediatric Physical Therapist provides services and support for children and their families, from birth to age 18. They work with kids who have developmental delays or disabilities aiding in development, restoring function, and improving mobility. They identify and treat conditions that may lead to movement, cognitive, and even social challenges. They work with families to create treatment plans that increase the child’s strength, restore movement, improve coordination, and address deformities that may have occurred.

What To Expect?

Kids learn through play and exploration. Thus, a Pediatric physical therapist will guide your child through a series of specifically designed play and sensory experiences. These will assist in development of your child’s ability to learn and move their bodies how and when they want to, giving your child the ability to make every day experiences and activities easier.
